Sunny weather. Games for the kids. Staff went out of there way to be helpful. The cook even went back and set the buzzer of for my son. Had buffalo soldier pizza and was lovely, fresh and tasty but was eaten to fast to get a photo😁

Waited 1.5 hours for two pizzas with three small kids — and ended up being sent home with a refund. Huge disappointment.
We used to come here almost every second week over the past couple of years, but since the original pizza bus closed and the new Stone Bake setup opened, the experience has gone seriously downhill.
On arrival, we were told to order via QR code at the table. The system repeatedly failed, showing errors and pushing the collection time back by 15 minutes each attempt. Eventually, another customer told us to order at the bar instead — which we did.
While waiting, we could hear multiple tables complaining about waiting over an hour for food. After 45 minutes, I checked on our order — no update. After 1 hour 25 minutes, I went directly to the pizza bus chef, who told me he had no record of our order and asked for a paper slip — which we were never given.
When I explained this to the bar manager, the only response was: “you can get a refund.”
The most frustrating part wasn’t just the wait — it was the complete lack of ownership or effort to fix the situation. Three young kids were left hungry and upset. A simple apology and prioritising our order would have gone a long way.
Instead, we left and went elsewhere, where we were served within 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, after years of being regulars, this experience has completely put us off returning.
The beer garden is nice, though it is basically beside a busy T junction so it can be unpleasant due to noise & fumes, but you might forget that on a sunny day. The pizzas look good but I got the burger. It wasn't great. The patty was not my cup of tea, large thick and felt store-bought. The structural integrity of the burger was compromised perhaps due to the toppings I chose. The beer selection was limited, I think there was only a handful of taps outside (you would need to go into the building to have a better selection).
